How often do you find yourself counting down the days until the weekend? Do you find yourself relieved when you reach “hump day,” and then continue counting? If you work in catering like I do, your weekends are most likely filled with weddings, company picnics, birthday parties, and other events… and this time of year, you’re like to be VERY busy. Wedding season is at its peak this time of year, and our weekend is filled with weddings.
Despite the filled schedule, I’ve found time (mostly in the mornings before leaving for work) to develop this Peach Sparkler recipe, sponsored by Poland Spring® Brand Sparkling Natural Spring Water. To be honest, working with Poland Springs® couldn’t have come at a more convenient time, as all the projects I’ve been working on lately have me feeling stressed!
A great way too fight the effects of stress is to keep hydrated, but often we’ll find ourselves grabbing for a sugary beverage, caffeine, or even alcohol… some of which actually dehydrate you! I’m not opposed to drinking soda on rare occasions, although my main drink of choice is plain water. For those of you who don’t like to drink unflavored water, but want to keep your sugar intake down, this delicious recipe is for you!
When you control the ingredients by making a recipe yourself, you can use as much (or in this case as little) sugar as you would like. This recipe uses the natural sweetness of ripe, summer peaches with a small amount of honey to create a sweet nectar that you can stir into Poland Springs® Brand Sparkling Natural Spring Water. If you don’t have the time to make the recipe, Poland Springs® also sells flavored bottles of the same Sparkling Natural Spring Water! With a variety of flavors such as Lemon, Lime, Mandarin Orange, Raspberry Lime, and Black Cherry, you’re sure to find a flavor you enjoy.
In addition to being a great alternative to soda, this recipe also makes for a delicious “mocktail” at your next party where you want to offer non-alcoholic beverages. Kids will love it too!

- 4 ripe peaches, medium dice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- water to cook peaches
- Sparkling Spring Water
- In a pot, combine the peaches, honey, and just enough water to submerge the fruit.
- Heat the submerged peaches over low heat, stirring and mashing occasionally. Continue this process until the peaches have broken down, about 45 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Strain through a fine strainer, reserving juice. Save the pulp for other uses, like stirring into Greek yogurt.
- Cool the liquid peach syrup completely. Stir into sparkling water, adding more syrup for a sweeter drink.
