When I think of Greek yogurt, one name comes to mind: Chobani. If I think about companies that make Greek yogurt I can come up with a few others with time, but Chobani really is synonymous with this thick yogurt.
Maybe I’m just easily amused, but the fact that they’re making this great yogurt just an hour away from my house is pretty neat. I suppose it’s only fitting that a yogurt company be in upstate New York… after all, we have plenty of dairy cows!
Today I’m sharing a super-healthy recipe for Blueberry and Greek Yogurt Smoothie using Chobani‘s plain yogurt. If you want to substitute the plain yogurt for blueberry yogurt (for double the blueberry flavor) or another flavor (for a berry flavor cocktail), go right ahead! We always have plain Chobani yogurt in the refrigerator, which is why it made it into this recipe.
When you make this recipe, don’t strain the smoothie to remove the dark flecks of skin you see in the photos! Those specks are full of antioxidants and fiber, and there’s no reason to take them out. Another tip: serve and drink this immediately. The longer it sits, it will begin to take on an unappetizing gray color from the blueberry pulp.
- 2 cups of fresh blueberries
- 1 cup Chobani plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup crushed ice
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, pulse to combine until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
